Vermont Vineyards

Have you fallen in love with Vermont wines yet?

Visit three idyllic vineyards on the shores of Lake Champlain, meet the growers and vintners, and taste their award-winning creations. Enjoy beautiful tasting rooms and take a behind the scenes look at each winery. A three-course lunch at the vineyard is included on full-day tours.

A bottle of wine with lunch and and a wine and cheese pairing is included on the full-day tour.

Vermont Artisan Cheese

Vermont is famous for its cheese. And for good reason: behind Vermont’s world-class cheeses are inspired farmers, idyllic pastures, intriguing cheese caves, and innovative approaches to cheesemaking. The artisan cheese tour emphasizes the unique personalities, herds, and landscapes that produce an astonishing array of cheeses here in Vermont. Each stop will include a discussion with the cheesemaker and tasting. Be sure to save room for the picnic lunch featuring food from nearby farms.

Vermont Farm Tour

Want to experience the connection between taste and place firsthand while exploring the bucolic Vermont countryside?

Meet dynamic farmers and enjoy an array of cheese, bread, and veggies. At each farm expect a warm welcome as the farmers share their stories and products. Try your hand at making mozzarella cheese and goats milk yogurt. The included picnic lunch highlights more local goodies.

What makes Burlington the healthiest city in the country and a renowned culinary destination? Join us as we go behind the scenes for a gourmet tour of Burlington.

The tour begins at an artisanal bakery and café for a bread and pastry tasting. Try Vermont wine and cheese during a tasting at the farmers market. Lunch at a restaurant famous for its use of local ingredients. And, of course, an artisanal chocolate tasting to cap it off.

Meet in August First Bakery and Cafe. Free parking behind the bakery. Tour operates with a minimum of 4 guests.

Incredible Edible Intervale

The Intervale is home to 14 organic small farms that produce over 550,000 pounds of fresh fruits, vegetables and poultry annually—all within Burlington city limits!

Take a fun journey exploring the farms, people, and organizations that shape this phenomenon in urban agriculture. Optional berry picking at Adam’s Berry Farm following the tour. Great shopping at Gardeners Supply store and greenhouse is just down the road.

Tour operates with a minimum of four guests. Child/student price does not include a canvas Vermont Farm Tours tote.

Join Lindsay Harris for a fun introduction to cheesemaking at her raw milk micro dairy in Hinesburg, VT.  Explore simple techniques for making mozzarella and ricotta while learning about the wonders (and politics) of raw milk.  You will have the opportunity to transform milk into cheese in only a couple hours—this is definitely something you can repeat in your home kitchen!

Family Cow Farmstand milks five grass-fed Jersey and Guernsey cows and sells 100% of their milk directly to the local community. Come see happy cows and taste the freshest milk imaginable! Raw milk, honey, and beeswax candles will be for sale at the farm.

Workshop includes mozzarella and ricotta demonstration, all materials, and tour of the farm.  Leave with cheese to share!

Explore the wonderful world of goats and goat cheese with Troy Peabody or Kevin McNaught, innkeepers at Trevin Farms Bed & Breakfast.  Troy or Kevin will personally introduce you to the goats, give you a tour of the farm, and teach you how to make chèvre during a hands-on cheese class in the B&B kitchen.

Trevin Farms is a small bed and breakfast on a working farm.  When you stay with innkeepers Troy and Kevin, look forward to fresh veggies from the garden and cheese made from their goat’s milk. Trevin Farms makes an excellent place to stay for your cheesemaking workshop or artisan cheese tour.

Workshop includes a hands-on chèvre class, all materials, and tour of the farm.  Leave with cheese to share!
